July 26, 2012

Pinch hitter Wyatt Johnson drove in Wyatt Houge with a two out single to left for the game-winning run and sent North Polk to the 2A finals, defeating defending champion Davis County 2-1 in the semifinals at Principal Park on Thursday.

It was Johnson’s second hit and RBI of the season.

Both teams got off to hot starts with one run each in the first inning. Noah Pickard drove in the game’s first run with a single to left for North Polk. Davis County answered back with a RBI-single off the bat of Josey Garmon.
